Abus 158/50 Combination Padlock - Medium security Class 5

Setting an ABUS 158/50mm 4-digit combination padlock.

1. Remove the padlock from the packaging.
2. The factory set code is 0000. Align the dials to 0000 and pull the shackle up to open.
3. Whilst open, making sure not to move the dials from 0000, use a screwdriver or small coin to turn the screw on the bottom of the padlock through 90 degrees.
4. Decide on a 4-digit code and make a note of it.
5. Turn the dials to the desired number eg; 7832 and then carefully turn the screw in the bottom of the padlock back to its original position.
6. You should hear a click. This means that your padlock has been set to your new code.

This process can be done as many times as you wish should you need to change the code.
