Each spirit level features a central vial, filled with liquid and a single air bubble that aligns perfectly between markers when the surface is level. Find the right size for your needs and ensure professional results every time.
To check if a spirit level is accurate, place it on a flat surface and mark the bubble's position and the level's end. Then, rotate the level 180° and align it with the marks. If the bubble remains in the same position, the level is accurate. If it shifts, adjust the vial using the calibration screw.
A quality spirit level, with proper care, can last for many years and generally doesn't need replacing unless it becomes significantly damaged or noticeably inaccurate. If the bubble isn't consistently centred or the level becomes faulty, it might be time to replace it. Regular checks for calibration can help you determine when a replacement spirit level is necessary.
