FAQs

What are germination sheets?

Germination sheets are specially designed covers that help seeds sprout faster and more evenly. They protect newly sown areas from wind, birds, frost and harsh sunlight while allowing light and moisture to reach the seeds below. By warming the soil, they speed up germination and extend the period for re-seeding, helping you achieve a lush, uniform lawn with less seed and effort.

How long should you leave germination sheets down?

Germination sheets should be kept in place until you see the seeds sprouting, usually within 5 to 7 days. Some gardeners remove them during the day and replace them at night, while others wait until seedlings reach about 3cm tall. It’s important not to leave the sheets on too long to avoid problems like fungal growth or stunted seedlings.
