The STIHL FSA 400 is the first battery-powered clearing saw from STIHL and is designed for professionals working in landscaping and grounds maintenance. It has power output that is comparable to the FS 411 C-EM petrol clearing saw, and is best suited to clearing tough grass, shredding plant growth and felling small trees. As the tool is battery-powered – meaning it has low noise emissions, it is ideal for use in noise sensitive areas such as at hospitals, schools and housing estates.

Features a bike handle for comfortable working when taking on clearing jobs with a folding clamp making it quick and easy to adjust the bike handle to the ergonomic position that suits you. It also has a powerful EC motor and speed-adjustment on the control handle, which can be set at 3 different speed levels depending on the type of work you are doing.

The STIHL anti-vibration system reduces vibrations on the STIHL FSA 400, protecting your muscles and joints during use and the air filter on the housing ensures that the engine is kept cool during work, improving the service life of the clearing saw, which is easy to remove and clean.

The machine is IPX4 rated – meaning it can be used in all weather conditions.
